Refinishing and Sight question

I'm going to send my gun to CCR for custom refinishing. I may want to add night sights also. Should I get the sites before I send it in or is it OK to add them later on? Does it really matter one way or the other? I'd hate to get a new finish then &#$@ it up changing the sights.

TIA

I would advise that you talk about the mod with CCR. See what CCR installs and if they would obtain and install your sight of choice.

I would recommend them acquiring and fitting the sight for you since they are going to be working on the handgun anyway.

1) You wont mess up your finish.

2) The sight install should be warranted by CCR.

3) Less inconvienience for you and much smaller chance the sight install will be screwed up.

When I had CCR do my XD-40, I sent them the sights, for the exact reason mentioned. They have to install something, why not new sights.
