Own three: 9mm service XD; 9mm tactical with SA Custom Carry package; and .45 ACP service.

9mm service did me well with nary a hiccup in 7K rounds I punched through it in 3 months immediately after purchasing it. And used it in a defensive pistol class. Thus the other, later two. Sweetest shooting is the 5" barrel with SA's creep removed trigger.

Why buy three or more? Finances! I am not rich and couldn't quite swing the ching-a-ling for a kilo-buck pistol. And, if you have two of the same caliber, interchaging the mags is a point you can consider.

More shooting time with the 9's for the same financial reason and if the manual of arms is the same, with some small qualifications, the triggers are all easy to accomodate out of the box. I do have other pistols and one revolver, but find I shoot these the most. Further, if there is a less complicated cleaning procedure for take down and gunk removal, I haven't seen it yet.

For moi, really nice pistols for the price that I have not had any significant functional problems with. I did have a front night sight come lose on my service 9mm, but that I attributed to the unfoamed case I received with it and the amount of shooting I initially did and thus the gun bumbing around inside there "a lot." In any case, SA fixed it for free and in a week and a half I had it returned.

Just trying to decide 9 or 40, leaning towards the 9 so I don't have to keep stock of another kind of ammo but what theck heck...already have .223/5.56 .44 mag .357 mag .38 .45acp .32S&W 9x19
one more won't make a difference

The XD9 was premeditated. The rest were impulse buys.

1. .40 Service black NS
2. .45 Compact black NS
3. 9mm SC black
4. 9mm Tactical black

None have been modified yet. The tac. will take a trip for some work and Dawsons when I find some extra cash.
