Stiff Magazine Release
I have an XD40 Service and I am having a problem releasing a loaded magazine. It was a little stiff when I bought it, but seems to be getting stiffer, I tried some oil on the internal release mechanism, but it didn't help. If the slide is locked back or the magazine is empty, no problem. Seems the less rounds I have in the mag the easier it is to release. I believe this is a hint, But to what I don't know. Any Ideas?

I have found, due to the stiffness of the srping in the magazine, that the mag is also hard to insert when fully loaded on a closed slide. Pushing up on the bottom of the magazine while pushing the mag release button will make the button easier to push. I believe with time, and the mag springs breaking in, this problem will be solved. That's why with fewer rounds in the magazine you noticed the mag release button was easier to push, less pressure against the button.
Hope this helps.
