Is this a dead issue that's not going to happen? Can a mod at least post here to signify that this thread has been seen?

I'm sure I'll be flamed, given a bazillion of reasons, ect but....
You know one thing I noticed while reading this thread ? That everyone in "favor" of this, isn't a paying member...hmmm "Is this a dead issue that's not going to happen? Can a mod at least post here to signify that this thread has been seen?" have you tried PMing a mod ?? Mike |

No, I haven't PMed a mod yet, I shouldn't have to. This is exactly why this forum also needs a Suggestion Box section. When I am on another forum, and someone posts a duplicate thread, or spam, and it's closed/deleted within minutes, not hours or days, that says something about the efficiency of having numerous and authorized mods to handle the needs of a forum this size. |

Your reasons are quite weak IMHO... of those 18,000 registered members on here, less than 3,000 of those are listed as active withing the last month. If the other forum does not ask for money GREAT, this one does ask for support. Yes I agree that more mods are needed, I don't know why there are not more of them. I don't know why Kermee takes so long to answer a PM or email...but You are taking a free ride Mike |

Give me added benefits that I do want. Give me exclusive access to something the non-paying members don't get. Give me a discount at the sponsor's stores. Give me a t-shirt, something; just not an email address. So, only 3,000 active members in the last month...the other forum I was talking about only has 5,622 members total. and they have more than 4 times the number of mods. Your complaint or issue with how long it takes Kermee to respond to your PMs is exactly what I'm talking about. You're a paying member and you don't get any special treatment. I would expect if I'm a paying member that I get a bit of priority that my questions/concerns should be at least recognized. Don't complain to me that I'm not a paying member when you have just shown me another reason why I won't pay to post here. A free ride? The last time I checked, there aren't any websites out there that act as toll booths to enter? I never have to randomly pay someone just to enter and peruse their site. If money is an issue, the ownership needs to come up with some new marketing strategies to increase the number of sponsors. Asking members to pay is a good idea for someone who might want an XDtalk email address. Are you going to tell me that I should pay for added benefits at Hotmail.com simply because it's available. The free account I've had there for years is sufficient for my needs. I put up with looking at their advertising banners every time I do anything with my email. Someone pays Hotmail for those banners to appear. I shouldn't have to pay for a service that's already being funded by someone who wants to get more money out of my pocket. We should never have to pay to post on a forum. We are the reason the forum exists. The sponsors are here to attract our business. The content on this forum is generated by us. That content draws more users and more users draws more sponsors...all more money for the ownership. They don't need my $35. They especially don't need my $35 when we can't get any changes made that we would like to see that would improve the forum. If our suggestions for improvement are ignored, or at least go without a post from a mod/admin to note that it's been seen, why should I pay? Last edited by jtkratzer : 06-14-2007 at 10:59 AM. |

I'm not here to argue with you.
All I stated was that the one thing I noticed in this thread was that all in favor of adding more sections to this forum were non paying members. That's it...plain and simple this will be my last post on this matter, have a nice day |
