I think www.packing.org has the info you are looking for, but the site is down a lot!

I do, however, think we should have a section for the states here...it would definitely come in handy

i know the info is there, i'm suggesting that we have a section for discussion about what each state is doing on legislature, local shoots, get togethers, gun shows, anything specific to each state. it's not just about laws, it's about anything that is specific to each particular state.

there isn't anyway to do that now, that's why there are all these roll-call threads for each state, those could be moved there.

it can be a place to post info about a training program or a course offered in a particular state. i personally don't want to travel half way across the country to take a self defense or combat shooting course right now, but having a list of courses that people have taken in my state and what they thought about them would be handy.

well, thats the hard part. We have tried for different "sections" here before. Most recently people wanted an EBR (Evil Black Rifle) or a HDR (Homeland Defense Rifle) section here. We tried PMing mods,PMing Kermee, creating polls, starting threads similar to this one, so on and so forth. All of this work and we made very little progress. I'm honestly not sure what the answer is....

i guess this is where it would be nice to have a few extra mods that can make executive decisions to make things happen.

I personally don't want it.

I like how few individual forums this forum has. Wading throught that many more (50+) different forums to find info.... eh... no thanks.

don't you think it will make it easier if you were traveling to one particular state you could check that section rather than start a new thread and wait for responses? i know there is stuff at packing.org, but it would be nice to have actual information from residents of that state. LEOs and attorneys could also contribute to the state specific sections about their expertise.

While I like a lot of info, 50 seperate sections would be a moderation nightmare and would just make the board too damn big!

It might, I say MIGHT, be feasible for them to just do some sections for regions instead of individual states?
