Doesn't work for me. Looks weird and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, that is a drawback for polymer pistols. I love the Crimson Trace for the Beretta 92 and will definitely get one as soon as I can justify the expense (i.e., make up a good enough excuse).
I think the better solution for polymers is the guide rod laser sight. I'll wait until CT comes up with one of those for the XD.

CT will never make a guide rod laser, one of their signatures is that they don't replace critical internal parts.

It's not for me. Dont like it at all. Takes a good-looking gun and makes it look like crap IMO.

The problem I have with LaserMax internal lasers is they take a solid guide rod and replace it with a guide rod with the laser. Who knows how high of quality that guide rod is. Plus if the aftermarket guide rod fails, you're screwed, BD doesn't get shot because the spring or rod is inferior. If I'm going to pay $300 for a laser, it's not going to replace a factory part. Just my $0.02

If it goes on anything like how it shows in this picture, once the final version is made.. I won't be buying one. It doesn't even look like it'd be remotely comfortable in your hand.
I didn't think they would have an easy time designing one for the XD, so I wasn't ever expecting to like one if it were ever made. |
