XD40 back from SA repair...Wow
Well, I really didn't know what to expect after experiencing some serious problems with my XD40. SA asked me to send it in for a look.
These were my problems: http://www.hs2000talk.com/viewtopic....848&highlight= Sending in the XD was a very good thing: 1 - The pistol now cycles every time with the same Speer ammo that gave it FTF fits before. (I tested 155, 165, and 180 grain Speer TMJ). Then I put a batch of Federal American Eagle 180 grain FMJ through. ZERO PROBLEMS. 2 - And now my groups are much tighter than they were before. Maybe its all psychological, but this gun seems to be shooting straighter. Well done Springfield Armory! The XD40 is once again my carry pistol. |

Glad to hear it. Maybe it'll make up for the frustration you had before and you can now join the ranks of Trouble Free XD40 Owners.

My XD 40 is back from Springfield. I am going to pick it from the gun store tonight. I plan to shoot it this weekend. Hopefully all of my FTF problems will be solved. BTW SA got got it back to the gun store in a week. Now only if it didn't take the gunstore 3 weeks to send it out.

I'm happy with the recoat I got. three weeks door to door but.
They punched the side of my night sight and I think they broke the capsule in the front sight.I know it lit when I sent them Pt said they would replace the capsule 14.00 shipping and handiling charge. Emailed springfield and getting free t-shirt for my trouble

One of the great things about supporting your local gun store, which we should all do religiously.............is that when you have a problem, you take it back, and they get it fixed. It's called service!! What a novel concept.
