which XD to carry in Baltimore
I will be going to Baltimore next week on business and was wondering which XD should I bring? I have a choice between my xd45 tac or a xd9sc. What is the crime rate in Baltimore?

crime rate in Baltimore
my USMC brother in law, retired Col with extensive combat time and currently on contract in Afgan, once referred to inner city there as door-to-door fire fight; bear in mind tho the bureaucrats are very anti gun there and will not tolerate illegal carry, especially an out-of-towner. Be very very concealed and expect the worst if you have to draw. Have your attorneys phone number available along with legal help in Maryland.

What should you carry? What do you usually carry? You are an LEO or former LEO and don't know where to get crime statistics for a city?
The dowtown/Inner Harbor area is pretty safe. Stay away from North Ave.... |

Normally I pack a Sig 229 (40cal). Just want to get everyone else idea on what they would carry.

In Baltimore, carry the largest capacity and meanest ammo. Crime rate has always been really bad.

I'd keep carrying the P229, it's a fine gun.

My choices are between the sig 229 in a serpa holster/xd45tac in a blade tech holster/xd9sc in a forbus holster.
