After XD?

Ok guys and gals I find myself wondering what gun I should get next. Don't get me wrong I love my XD9sc. This is my first gun that I have owned. I'ts like an addiction now. I want a 1911 but the are a little expensive, at least the ones I have seen. Could you guys recommend a good 1911 but somewhere maybe in the $700 range. All your input will be appreciated.

Hello my name is Manny and I am an addict

You can get a Rock Island tactical in the $400 range, or a Taurus in the $600 range. Of course, a true 1911 snob, I mean afficiendo, would consider those paperweights, and won't recommend anything less than a Kimber or Springfield.

i too am looking for 3 other handguns after purchasing an XD45 compact. I want a 1911, but I want something that is a work gun, not a pretty, show off at the range gun, but one that can take some abuse and wear and tear. I'm also working on picking a gun for my wife to carry and something for myself for deeper concealment.

so uh, as soon as i find that extra couple thousand laying around here somewhere, i'll go shopping.

Cool

The SA "GI" should be a bit less than $500. Love mine in stainless.
