Does sanding/polishing the crown of your barrel affect acc.?

I want to polish my barrel and whatnot, but i read somewhere that it could affect accuracy if i mess with the crown of the barrel?

Yes it does, if you screw up the crown you can get a kit to recrown it from Brownells. Les

Leave it alone!

Seriously, I am not sure!

Everything going well now with the XD40?

What did you end up using to get all of the 3in1 off the gun?

I used the synthetic gun scrubber from walmart reccomended by KyDoc, worked great.
And the 40 is lovely, i spent today coloring in the engravings white, minus the top engraving which is all red minus a yellow flame, which looks sweet as hell!

It was kind of weird every time I caught a wiff of my gun being reminded of playing baseball as a kid(Using 3 and 1 on my glove and all).
Childhood memories of oiling my first glove and my gun just dont sit well togethor(if that makes sense)!! hah.

I think Akira meant just polishing the outside of the crown, not into the crown itself. Would that mess up anything? Right Akira?
