Any LEO's here that carry 5in Tactical XD on duty?

I carry the 4in XD40. Just curious if anyone carries the 5inch tactical on duty?

I should be in a month as it looks like the policy is getting changed back where personal weapons are allowed. I can't wait.

I will be as soon as the academy is over May 21st. I use the 6280 holster with the hood and sentry lock.

I have been considering the 6280 also with the hood. This would be for a service XD40. Funeralplanner, how do you like it?
Thanks

I love the holster. It works great. I can use my Sub Compact, Service, or the Tactical in it. I wouldn't, but you could.

Thanks for the info on the holster. I asked an LEO buddy of mine if I should sell my 4" for a 5" for duty. He said to keep the 4". Most police that carry glocks dont carry the longslide. I thought that that was a good point. Plus with an 870 in the car, a 4" should due.

I just ordered my Blade-Tech holster for uniform carry. I have a Blade-Tech thigh holster for tactical use and like it a lot. I have used the Safariland 6004/6280 for my glocks for a few years and they are good holsters but I actually like the Blade-Techs better. They hold the gun a noticeably tighter and still give a good draw.

You can't really go wrong with either one though.

The glock has a 4.5" barrel, it is the model 22 or 23 I believe. I don't see a big issue with one that is 5". Works just fine for me, and the 6280 rides high. I'm with you though, I wouldn't trade your service for a tactical. I would just buy a tactical. Then, get the 6280 for the 5" and use the 4" and 3" in it..... Hope that helps.
