Laser sight?

Newbie to XD's and I just bought an XD40 tatical in 40S&W today. I know little about it except what I have picked up on a very quick search. Is it possible to mount a pressure switch activated laser sight on this pistol? If so where can one be had? Thanks DaveM

You can buy a cheap O lazer and mount it to the rail if you want or you have two options. Laser Max makes a guide rod laser for different models of weapons, but I dont know about the tac models.

Next you can buy a laser/light combo from surefire or streamlight.

As of right now CTC does not make a product for the XD's.

I have two LaserMax products, one on my XD 9mm service and one on my 9mm SC. I like them both with the obvious exception of the price. I'm a lefty so having the switch on both sides was a big selling pt for me. 1000 rounds minimum thru each and no problems so far. If you can get by the cost it is a good product for what it's intended.

Thanks for the responses

Thanks guys for the good answers. I guess I'd better start saving my scheckles for a LaserMax. It sound promising. How is it for windage and elevation adjustments?

To clarify, something I didn't really fully become aware of until I bought my first Lasermax is it's only good for home defense type use IMO. In other words, out in bright sunlight, like the range, forget it. You'll never see the dot. Cloudy days w/in a short distance then maybe. I have found great use of it dry fire practice in my garage and am trying to become a 'two eyed' shooter with one hand and off hand. For all that it's been worth the purchase price for me. I haven't any exp with other laser products but I find it hard to believe it isn't the same case for other products. I have a 9mm service w/lasermax and a Streamlight M3X on the rail for home defense. My 9mm SC w/lasermax and no light (yet) is my daily carry.
