Starting to really think about this XD thing.
I bought an XD 40 tact 2 days ago and am really starting to like this thing. The more and more I mess with it, Im starting to see that this is built like a tank.
Its not a Sig by a long shot, but it sure as hell is better than a glock. One of my biggest bitches about Glocks is that when the slide is removed from the frame its so thin and weak. You can flex the thing so much. No so with my XD. I carry my Sig 220 carry daily, but my local dealer that I bought this from is having trouble selling the 4" service guns and has them priced to move. I got my 40 tac for 480 brand new and he has the 4" service models for around 425 new. I really really liked the brown framed models. I am seriously thinking about getting another one soon. I might even sell my Sig 228 to fund it. How do you guys that own both the 4" and 5" like them. Do you have a prefrence? Thanks g10

I only own the 4" XD40 and I love it. Easy to shoot and control.
I have shot the 5" XD45 and it was a breeze to shoot as well, although I didn't put a lot of rounds through it. My next XD will be the 5" XD45, in the Dark Earth color, I have to agree with you there, those tan frames are just so sweet. Matt |

Yes it would.
I haven't seen the XD45 Tactical in the Dark Earth, I'm just hoping. Matt |
