I have my XD-9 service in a 1400 pelican case. I went with the larger case as it is more my going to the range box. I will take a couple pics tonight, but it does an awsome job holding 8 mags, gun in paddle holster, gun light, flashlight, and CRKT Stiff K.I.S.S. My friends call it the "Jack Bauer Box"

Pelican cases are great for anything. I have been using them for over 25 years for my video equipment, all my professional camera equipment, and am thinking about my guns too. They work better than a dry box because they are sturdier(you can stand on them if you need to), water proof and dust proof. I once had my $7,500 video camera in one and dropped it out of a canoe and it just floated on down the stream till it clobbered a boulder and I picked it up. No damage at all. They are relatively in expensive too. If you buy one you won't regret it.

What about the little squares that you don't want to come out of the box. Anyone have any trouble as far as that is concerned? As it ages, do the rest of the squares eventually fall out?

thanks

Hey Rob the 1200 is the smallest case you can get that has the lock option. They will take a gun lock or any pad lock really.

Here is a pic that better shows that

see the little holes, you can put the lock through there.
