Hogue handall

I love having my Hogue Handall on my HK USP. I'd love to have one on my XD, but no matter how I cut the Handall (or Peirce grip) the back strap safety get press in evenutally (disabling the safety feature)

Do any of you use a Handall? How do you keep it in place?

I have a Sub 40 and I use a pachmayr sleeve size #5 it fits with no trimming.

I had a hogue, but couldn't get it to fit right either.

I guess I'll have to give it a try, since I just ordered the Hogue Handall before reading this. I didn't think cutting it to accommodate the grip safety would be a big deal.

I can't speak from experience, but I think that there are others here who have done this with no problems.....

I have never tried a Hogue Handall. I have tried a Pachmayr #5 and after repeated use on my 9mm SC at the range, the grip rides up and holds down the backstrap safety. Not good. I just want to know if there's a better option.

no problems here, i crushed mine flat against the handle prior to putting it on, and trimmed a sliver off the bottom. slid the grip on, and used the scissors in the pic to trim around the safety. in the pic it looks like its making contact, but it isnt.

Your is a service model though. On my SC it slides. Very slowly, but it slides.

i actually tried the grip tape all around, but eventually removed the tape from under the trigger and the grip safety. i left the sides and the thumb with the grip tape. it wasnt hard at all to slip the hogue on with the grip tape (its the baseball rubber tape from walmart not rough 3m).

i cut mine differently then boomer, instead i slipped it on first then i used a piece of the plastic packaging placing it behind the hogue and cutting with an exacto knife. leaving a cresant cut from left to right. doesnt move at all unless i want it to. mine is a tactical but you could try some grip tape underneath. what about that hairspray idea?

Hairspray?

I truley thought about rubber cement. Gummy, stick to anything and easily comes off when I need it to.

After watching CSI, I don't think I want something gummy anywhere. Heck, my wife said, after watchinig CSI, she's not touching anything ever again either.

I put one of my Tactical. Put it on then placed some plastic behind it and cut straight around the top to where it wont engage the grip safety. Dont cut any sharp angles, as many have reported tearing because of it. I sprayed the inside of the hogue with aqua net before i slid it on. Let it sit for 24hours without handling it and it shouldnt move till you rip it off.
