How long are XD serial numbers these days?

Mine is relatively short! (How is that for bragging)?

US5XXX

Not much finish wear on it either and never a speck of rust!

I'm thinking of trying to trade this plus a Norinco 75 rd AK drum that is new and never been used for an XD45 Tactical that he has in the case.

I would like to do a straight deal and not be out any cash. I'm hoping he bites.

Off the top of my head I want to say that mine has six digits after the US...i.e. USXXXXXX. XD45C manufactured in November.

Mine is US8XXXXX. It was "born" in April or May???? of 2006. I called SA to check on the finish (it has Melonite), but can't remember the month right now.

O.K. Maybe I should just hang on to it.

Of course when you consider that the HS2000 is the same pistol basically, it probably doesn't mean alot for mine to be in the 5000 number range.
