Hi all, I'm from southcentral PA and I've been lingering here for a few days. This is my first post here. I have a Ruger (P345) and taurus (.22 relover). I recently ordered my first XD (9SC) for CCW and as soon as it comes I'll officially join your ranks!
I am ordering a Smart Carry to get me started. I also have been looking at Tuckers 'Answer' w/ v-clips and belt (with sewn in velcro). I wear slacks/dockers, shirt, and tie to work so I kinda want something without a clip showing. Just wondering if anyone out there has used any holster with velcro? Collecting information so I can make and educated purchase. Also, not sure if I would need a holster with 2 clips (i.e. Answer or heritage) or one clip (i.e. cover up). Thinking that 2 may be over kill. I just want it to be good and secure! http://rlcompanyusa.stores.yahoo.net/iwbholsters1.html Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

I got my Texas Heritage with the Velcro clips, originally.
What I found was that between the clip, the velcro ON the clip, and the velcro inside the belt, it caused the belt to stick out quite noticably. I switched over to the C clips and was much happier with them. But remember, it's all opinion. What I didn't like, you may love.

agree
I like the C clips the best also. Had the normal ones but they kept breaking.
Love the C's. Hide better and looks better. steve

that being said, if it's a mellow, low key evening at the movies/dinner, i don't bother with a velcro belt, i just carry the holster IWB and that is usually enough for me to carry comfortably. i'll try to find the pics i have of that holster... |
