Shooting Low with TFO's

any one here have tfo's on a 4'' xd 45 and shoot about 4'' low at 50ft? my gun shot to poa perfectly when i got it now that i had the sights changed it shoots low.

anyone have any fixes? i have already tried different loads and the all shoot 2''-5'' low at 50ft.

Chuck - I am about to order a set for my 4" XD45. I will wait to hear if anyone has experiences that are different. I hate nothing worse than a gun that shoots low. You can live with a little high, but not low. Ther may be more experience on the XD45 Forum.

I could be off but XD's were made to shoot 6 o'clock at 25yards. Now if you were shooting poa at 50 you had basically just adjusted for the drop off in height at the additional yardage. With TFO's the sight pattern at 25yards is poa is poi. So at 50 yards shooting poa would cause the bullet to be low. Hope this helps.

I think he is talking about 50 feet not 50 yards, which would be less than 25 yards,

Good catch!! I was wondering why he was shooting from so far away. Guess I need to read things a bit more carefully!

Mine are fine. Did you try shooting from a rest?

The XD9 & XD40 were made to sight in at 6 o'clock, the XD45 was made to sight in at POI. It states the sighting procedures in your manual....You may have the wrong size sight on the front.

I thought that replacing the stock sights on an XD9/40 with TFOs makes it work at POI?
