Dry firing the XD?

One more question? Will it hurt the XD to dry fire it repeatedly? I'm not talking about 1000 times or anything stupid, just in doing some training at home...empty of course.

Thx.

I am unsure... BUT, if in the takedown procedures, you have to pull the trigger, I wouldnt think that it would hurt it...

+1. Snap caps are best for repeated dry firing, but you're not going to hurt it.

If I'm not mistaken, and everyone feel free to correct me, but i believe that there is a firing pin dampening spring which takes away the danger of doing damage to the gun when dry frying

The roll pin will break with a lot of dry firing, pistol gear sells replacement roll pins.

For occational dry fires, the Xd is fine, but for those that dry fire a LOT snap caps are a good idea. also when you go to the range to work on your shooting mechanics, a sprinkling of snap caps will show wheather you are anticipating or not.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

Yep, I've had more than a few guns come in with broken roll pins.

Is roll pin replacement a noob thing, or a "gun takes a trip to Oregon" thing?

Mine are good, and I'm buying snap caps for mine, but it is just good to know what to do in case it happens.
