Because it's the most comfortable/concealable holster I have ever had the pleasure to wear. Also a very low price for a top quality product.

How well does it hide it just wearing a polo shirt untucked?

Decently. If you're sure-set on concealing the double-thickness of the XD, then the Crossbreed's the way to go. I gave up, sold my Xbreed and regulated the XD to range time in favor of the 1911 for flat, side-hugging CCW. The Xbreed's the last word on concealing the admittedly-bulky service XD.

I'm 6' 2", 195lbs with somewhat wide hips. I can conceal with just an untucked t-shirt.

Mine works quite well with must jeans and t-shirt. Pants have to go up one size though...

XD is one PHAT pistol and the cross does a great job... Have one for my Glock which conceals even better .. but hard to give up the XD for carry.
