Question... Wondering...Hmmm....

Well, I got my XD40-SC... I was told by Bud's that I had 10 round mags. I put 10 rounds in there no problem. No sign of feed problems either. I was told, though, from a different thread that there are only 9 round mags. Is it possible that i am overfeeding?? Do you all think I should take one out?? Is it possible to have a 10 round mag?? How would I tell?????

It's a 9 round mag and you are squeezing an extra into it. It can cause issues with mag swelling making them not drop free. It's up to you whether you feel comfortable doing it or not.

You'de notice if you did. Like DJDan mentioned, if the mag swelled it wouldn't drop free, or it might catch some and not drop as quickly. I would imagine that you would also notice a difference (If it was damaged) with how it feels when you load the mag.

Thanks Moe, I looked at it and popped that extra round out of both mags. They both work fine and look good... I only had it in there for about a day. Good deal... I kinda like that Promag 20 round clip on midwayusa.com.... good defense mag for home!!

In regards the the Promag...stick to OEM for defense purposes. Many people have had issue with Promag's and XD's...I would not personally trust them to save my life. Leave Promag to range fun.
