Pics of Overtravel stop

i'm getting ready to drill and tap my xd's trigger bar for a overtravel stop and was wanting to see how some other people have done it.

how did you adjust your stop, and did you used something like loc-tite on the screw?

and is there anything i need to look out for while doing this.

Make sure you don't drill too close to the trigger spring. Once you've adjusted the overtravel use loc-tite to secure the screw. Be carefull when tapping the hole you don't want to break the triggerbar.

It's a screw placed on the trigger bar. I stops the trigger from traveling too much after the sear releases the striker.

thanks

thanks for that picture, is there a reason you put the screw head the way your did? looks like it would be hard to adjust like that, would there be anything wrong with using something like a set screw with no head so i could adjust the trigger while the gun is assembled? then, use red loc-tite on it?

You want as large a surface as posible contacting the frame so it won't make an indention or hole in the polymer but at the same time you don't want to make a big hole in the trigger bar because it will weaken the bar.

Before you start drilling, if you break the trigger bar, where are you going to get another?
I do almost all my own gunsmith work (1911, 2011, AR15s, S&W revolvers, and Rem 1100s), but only when I can get parts to replace what I screw up, and that has happened.
If SA won't sell you a replacement trigger bow, Canyon Creek sounds like a good deal at $135.
Broken trigger bow = $500 paper weight.

Does Canyon Creek sell other XD parts? Do they have a web site? I Googled them but only came up with numerous other businesses.
