I have them on my XD40SC and I had them on my 9. It gives you a better grip on the gun. I won't go without them.

You can try the pierce grip pictured above or the A&G extension which allows you to run a 'service' magazine (higher capacity). Most new SCs come with the XDGear extension. They allow you to get a better grip around your pistol. I can't really adapt to the grip without an extension. Depends on how big/small your hands are.

Yeah.... I was thinking of that too Kiel, I think I got a NY/CA model SC, it says its comming with 2 10 rd mags. I may sell one and buy an extended mag. Shouldn't be a problem.

I got the pearce grip ext on my XD40sc. Its wonderful, allows me to use my pinky on the grip. makes it much easier to shoot compared with just the stock flat base pad. For $8 its a great mod to have. It doesnt cause any problems with printing either when i conceal carry, standing or sitting.

I consider the Pearce Grip Extension to be mandatory for the XDSC. Shooting the gun with it is like night-day. More control, more comfort, better accuracy on quick shots.

It is pretty much a mandatory modification and makes a huge difference without affecting the concealability of the gun. I have five of the 10 round mags and I bought Pearce extensions for four of them.
It is also worth your money to get the 16 round extended mags. I've ordered them from both websites depending on who has them in stock and/or the better price. They go in and out of stock pretty regularly, so don't delay if you have a chance. http://www.pistolgear.com/ http://www.midwayusa.com/
