Sold my GAP
Well, I sold my XD 45 GAP service this weekend while on guard duty. It was totally unplanned, but I had been thinking about it for a while now. I think the GAP is a good round, but I don't particularly have small hands. I also like the idea of going by Wal-Mart and picking up some ACP whenever I like.
I have a new situation, which gun to buy. I have around $500-$525 to spend. I pretty sure I want a 45ACP but can't decide between this: http://www.impactguns.com/store/706397866693.html and this: http://www.snipercountrypx.com/c-1576-xd-compact.aspx Any suggestions?

And yes, I realize they ae totally different guns.
Beauty and less capacity vs. Functional and more capacity. This will be my one and only pistol for a while.

what purpose will it serve? Do you carry?
I think I would personally pick the 1911- that is a beautiful gun... |

I vote for the 1911 if you don't already have one!

The 1911 can be anything you want it to be as your budget allows. You wont be unhappy with that choice.

Yeah, I do CC. This gun will be used for everything. Thanks for the responses!
I would have to get a new crossbreed for the 1911, but it sure is pretty.

While I love my 1911s, I have to vote XD. Get a 1911. Get several. But get the XD first.

Tough choice, but I would opt for the 1911. Everyone should have one in my opinion.

Dang! This is a hard choice. I might be leaning a little toward the XD, only because it will be my only gun for a while and it is so practical. But the 1911 is such a cool gun. A classic. Drats!

Question to ask youself, Are you comfortable carrying "cocked and locked", if not go with the XD. I have both a 1911 and xd45, shoot both, but prefer the xd for carry.
