9mm Conversion, Ported vs Standard
I was taking a look at some of the 9mm conversion barrels for my XD40. Could someone tell me the difference between the standard and a ported barrel?? Thanks
Also, does anyone have pics?? Last edited by KingofHearts : 03-04-2007 at 06:10 PM. |

Most of the ported barrels extend past the end of the slide and have serrations, or ports, in the end. The standard looks just like your barrel now except it is polished.
thry this thread EFK Firedragon - ported goodness and this one Compensated or Ported

I've not used them, but feedback says no. Not in 9mmat least. Besides 9mm has such little recoil as it is. Compensated or Ported
