Ahhhh, TFO, the ones I saw were just the glow in the dark kind. I'll have to check those out next time if the gun shop carries them. So, did you use a steel or brass punch? Nice groupings!!! Was that at 25 yds?

^^^ Heh.... only 25ft. I highly doubt many out there could do that pattern @ 25 yards at the rate of fire (1 per second or less) that I was shooting. I'm also shooting a 4" service model. With much slower shooting rate, I can keep a lot of them in the black @ the back wall which i believe is 25 yards @ Sharp Shooters. I tend to not shoot that far with a handgun due to almost any incounter you'd get in would be well inside that distance. Most of the police at my range practice at 20-25 feet.

edit: I used a brass punch. A steel punch is too strong and can damage your sights and finish much easier than brass.

Good to hear you shot the OL' 1911. I figured it would still shot just fine. I wasn't worried about KABOOMs. I figured it would have looked rougher than it does after seeing Navy service and being exposed to salt air a lot. Maybe they added diffrent coatings and such to the Navy sidearms to help deter salt corrosion.

I may have to pick up a set of those sights one day.

No worries. I tend to only use yardage when I shoot my rifles at outdoor ranges. My winchester .270 model 70 featherweight @ 200 yards =
