Thumbs up I think my fiancee is addicted...

Wow. I'm still in shock, but wanted to share what I just found out.

As some of you may (or may not) know, I gave the blue/silver/black XD-9 subbie to my fiancee as an early Christmas present. Well, I just got done talking to her on the phone. She told me that while we're running around today, she wants to stop by a few stores to find

a bi-tone XD-9 subbie

Because she WANTS one. She's already an awesome shot with her custom colored subbie. I'm proud to admit that she shoots circles around me at the range. She has AWESOME marksman skills, and doesn't mind cleaning her own gun and getting "dirty" like that. She's a member of the NRA, too. And I have her to thank for getting me "into" guns as much as I am now.

It's not every day that we get to hear "Honey, I want an XD" from our significant others. I'm a happy man.

And I love my fiancee.

I am in the opposite side of the street. My wife hates my guns and does not want anything to do with them. Maybe after a few range visits she will warm up to them... I guess it is not so bad because im saving money on ammo and more guns hah.

Nothing could be sweeter. Dave you are a lucky man. And I agree with Matt....marry that woman so she can spend your money too on guns and ammo.

I'm jealous; my fiancee is pretty much the complete opposite. She went to the range with me (once), and said she had fun, but thought it was too loud and that guns were still scary. (This was after my repeated safety lessons that lasted a week or more) Granted, we were indoors, so it's louder than outdoors, but we were doubled up on plugs, so it should have been fine. I want to take her outside sometime, but the free local range is generally extremely busy, so we'll see if I can find a nice "quiet" time for us to go. Wish me luck; you've already got quite a catch there!

Oh man..........should I be the one married person to let the secret out?? OK....they all like everything you do, and want to do it with you........until you're married for about a year, or the first child. But I'm happy for you, and hope you work it for all you can now.......

Well, thanks for the posts. I do consider myself a lucky man.

We went to a gun shop (my favorite one locally) and she has her name/number down for an XD-9 subbie bi-tone, so when they get one in, they'll call her. And, just for the record, it's HER money that she is using to buy it, because it's HER gun that SHE is buying for HERSELF.

I truly do feel like the luckiest guy on the planet. She not only likes guns and shooting them, but she's an awesome shot, and she's spending her own money on another XD.

(On a separate note: I was able to find a spare 10-round magazine for my Savage Mark II-F, so I picked another up while I was there).

My fiancee is here watching me type this... and is taking her clothes off... so I must go now.
