What should my next gun be?
This forum has been great. I have been a XD9 Service owner for 2 months now. I love the gun. I try to go to Bass Pro and shoot at least twice a week. I now have 1300 rounds through my gun, no FTF's no problems. I have signed up for CCW classes the first part of April and I am looking to buy another gun for carrying. What would be everybodies opinion for the best 3 inch to buy. Should I get another 9mm or should I get a 40 cal. I also hear rumors of a 45 cal 3 inch. Just looking for everybodies opinion. I appreciate all the great info I pick up on this forum.

Wow, you've almost paid for your pistol in ammunition! I spend too much on fuel getting to and from work to do that (hour and a half round trip, wife's is two hours).

Every collection should include a revolver (.357), and a 1911 (.45 ACP).
Take your pick on the revolver, S&W, Taurus, and Ruger all make nice, mostly affordable, revolvers. ANY1911 will do!

I carry a 9mm XD subcompact, and I love it. 10 round clip for carry, and a 16 round for sitting on the night stand. Its my work horse, and I trust my life too it. Its the only gun I dont worry about getting scratched.
