How do you hide this thing?
I'm interested to hear what everyone thinks about the concealability of the XD. I just ordered a couple of SuperTucks for my Xd and my S&W Chiefs Special .38 Sp. I tried a couple of holsters at my local gun dealer with my XD and none of them really hides the gun despite my size, 6'2", 235 lbs. It still prints if I'm not wearing heavy clothes. During the summer months, there is no way I can hide that Cannon. My Sig is no better, being shorter but nearly as fat in the grip. The Kimber is better being a single stack but now that the reliability problem appears fixed, I'd like to carry the XD. Here, in CT, concealment is essential. Any Dem Lib, and we are infested with them, will have the troops down on you in a heartbeat. I've heard lots of good stuff about CrossBreed stuff so that's why I ordered them. They also have 15% off if you order 2. Think of all the money I could save if I ordered 10.

Most of the time I'm carrying IWB. I have an a-shirt (wifebeater) between the gun and my outershirt. Outershirts aren't a size larger either. Sometimes my gf forgets I'm carrying, even though she knows I always carry. This is the HS2000 and the XD40SC.
I'm a slender guy with a V-shaped torso, though.

The holster and method don't mean much without the proper clothing and that varies according to the person. You have to get the right mix of all those elements. Muck trial and error. As many have said , it is a lifestyle decision to carry.

My supertuck conceals my XD with only a t-shirt. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I carry IWB and can conceal under a t-shirt, in the winter its long sleeve t's mostly, And the tuckable holster means you can carry with your shirt tucked, although when sitting, getting up and down its not quite as good as untucked. I have a Galco skyops for IWB. Most of the time I can pretty much just carry under my coat in a paddle holster since its winter time, but I switch off depending on where I am going.
You will not only need to get the right holsters/gear, but also change the way you dress somewhat in order to make concealment work in every scenario.

I have a Desantis Tuck This holster, and I can hide my XD45 under a tshirt, as long as it's loose fitting. If it's tight fitting, it prints.

I use a smart carry during the summer, I can have on a t-shirt and shorts and where it prints not many are looking.
You do have to wear shorts or pants with a little more room in them . I have a Fubus paddle I carry most of the time and I keep a lose shirt over it, you might see a small print, If I working late in an area I don't like, being a handyman I throw a rag over it and most people never notice, but the bad guys see it and leave me alone

I don't think a little printing is going to get you busted for not concealing your weapon. Most people aren't looking for a gun, and unless you are in a tight shirt, fully tucked in, most IWB holsters will do a good enough job. The trick is to find a holster that feels good and allows you to access your gun when you need it. The Supertuck is a good holster from all accounts here, I went with the Quickclip for my XD. I pocket carry my Keltec 3AT much of the time (it's the same size as a wallet), but I am trying to carry my Keltec P40 (which is bigger, but is .40 sw) more often. I have found myself looking for cargo style pants and shorts with bigger pockets. I am also going to try a belly band holster to see how that works.
