Just bought a New Xd .45 acp Have Question

I just purchased a new Xd .45acp service model new and I noticed that it had powder in the barrel and the burn marks associated in the chamber where the firing pin is. Said it was new and paid retail price came with everything including the first round fired. Any Thoughts? Thanks

Function check not ballistics. They get tested with a couple magazines during the final inspections process.

My new XD-45 was dirty upon inspection. I cleaned it and all kinds of grit and soot came out of the barrel.

I suspect it is tested at the factory for functionality. Probably one magazine and then you get one spent shell in n envelope. At least I did.

I for one am glad they test it out first because it cuts down on the lemons that go out because Lord knows the dealers don't test out each gun and I don't mind them not cleaning it. It only took me a minute as it was not extremely dirty and and they probably don't do it as a cost saving feature.

I mean look at the prices we get these get guns at. Cleaning each one would only increase the labor cost for each gun that they ship out.

Yep

No they don't clean them before shipping. All of mine have had powder residue in them. So have most all of the other guns I have gotten including revolvers.

Bring it to the match Saturday, and see how it works.

Enjoying my XD .45ACP Tactical. need to break in my 870, and my wife's XDSC9.

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle
