So I'm very tempted to sell my 9mm serivce to my buddy because I'd really like to carry the 9mm SC... But my question is, Is the grip wider on the SC than the service? I had the .40 SC in my hand and the grip was too wide for my hands...

Any help would be appreciated!!!!

My service 40 is the same as my SC40, hope it helps I can measure it if you really need.

all the xd's except the .45 are the same grip width they are all the same frame

For what it's worth, my XD 40 Service model's grip is 1.20" wide (~31mm) as measured with a micrometer in 3 different places.

Perhaps someone can mic a subbie and post the width.
