Thumbs up Took my XD45 to the range today, had a visit from Don

I finally got to shoot my XD Service for the first time this morning, and I'm very happy with its performance and how it handled. That thing shot one small ragged hole at seven yards slow fire, and I was able to keep center mass on double taps. At 20 yards slow fire the hole opened up, but not my much. It hit spot-on point of aim, and I'm exceedingly happy with my XD. This one's a keeper. I was shooting Blazer FMJs, and the third magazine I loaded with Federal 230gr Hydrashocks. At around the fifth shot I had one FTF, but out of the 280 rounds I put through the pistol this morning, that was it. When I got home I got a call from Don, and the guy drove to my house and personally fitted the XD with one of his guide rods. Super nice guy, and if you happen to live in Pullman, he does house calls!

Hey, I had a FTF only once, but that was after running dirty WWB ammo through it, (200 rds) then I shot some Black Hills +p. I took a look at it and noticed the super dirty feed ramp. Blazer I think is still on the dirty side though (not too sure) cleaner then WWB for sure though. I'm glad you like the range time with it. Every box of ammo I feed my XD 45 it gets better My new (used) P225 is doing the same
