Maybe limp wristing or rough chamber. Does the bullet in the mag block the case from ejecting?

Is it me, or is this becoming a more common issue?

Its you.

Is this a new gun, or you just happened to shoot 100rds today. Can't tell from your post.

Limp wristing, lack of proper lubrication, lack of cleaning the cosmoline off a new XD's rails, or simple break in of a new XD.

FWIW I dislike the dusty copper residue that UMC ammo leaves in my guns. I'd rather clean up after dirty WWB

You say that with such absolute resolve.

Limp wristing: check
Lack of lube: check
Lack of cleaning the cosmoline of a new XD's rails: WTF?
Simple break-in of a new XD: FTE/FTF shouldn't be an issue on ANY gun if it's going to be considered reliable.

I've seen a lot of posts about FTE/FTF issues, myself included, and from what I can see, either it's an on-going issue that no one wants to talk about, or, it's a more recent issue, which could indicate something changed in the manufacturing process.
