i have about 450 rounds through mine... about 400 rounds of Remington UMC and 50 Federal Hyrda Shok in the UMC i used both 180 and 165 grain

Good lord! You have a lemon!
I have owned my XD-40 for a year, now and have ran about 800 rounds through it and have had no troubles at all. No failures, no pins backing out, no rust (and I am in hellishly hot/humid Houston) and literally no problems at all. ..am I in some sort of minority? -Brickboy240
