I don`t think is a stupid way to carry...in fact..some of the guys who carry IWB W/O holster...wouldn`t put one in the pipe...I don`t know...but if the BG starts shooting first... would be a sad story... I can draw and rack as fast as if I wouldn`t have to....Israelian Draw thing really works...perhaps you could miss the slide due to the situation and the willings of making it real FAST...as someone said...is a life or death situation...anyway...if someone just don`t feel ready enough to carry chambered...then dont...some of us just know better than that...and rather being ready...my advice...practice..practice and practice...then carry a round chambered...

Angel.

Right. Solve the problem of holsterless carry with the unloaded chamber. Genius.

What do you do if you're fighting with the BG with one hand and drawing with the other?

If you're gonna carry, carry it loaded.

anhiciano, Why are you worrying about holsterless carry? We have XDs, not Glocks.
Mexican carry + Glock = bullet in da a$$

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

Even if there were hypothetical times when you might have time to chamber a round, you would be doing a lot of unneccessary chambering/unchambering. This sort of unnecssary handling has probably caused more accidental/negligent discharges than chambered guns that are holstered and stay that way. Also, should the need arise, you don't have to second guess whether you have a round in the chamber. Of course you do.
