Should answer all of your questions. I assume you went here to download your forms: http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/weapons/apply.html http://licgweb.doacs.state.fl.us/license/forms.html

In addition to those links above, just for info...if you have no previous "training" (i.e. safety course, military training etc), then just go to your next local gun show and take the class there. They will provide you with *everything* that you need and instruct you on how to properly submit everything in the class.

Is this for their out-of-state license? I'd be interested in out to apply for that.

You can get the packet of all the information and forms at your local sheriff's office, and while you are there you can go ahead and get your fingerprinting done electronically (I HIGHLY reccomend doing it electronically, as opposed to doing it with the ink like they offer at gun shows).
I just took the CCW course at the gun show in Orlando for $45. For an extra $25 they will take your photo and do the ink finderprinting, but dont get this done at the show. Walgreens will take your photo for you and print you out 2 copies for $8.49, and like I said, the sheriff's office can do your fingerprinting. |

I also highly recommend the electronic fingerprinting. My permit was issued 5 days after I *mailed* my packet.
