Pistolgear.com and Dons Guide Rods

I got my rod and springs today, but was confused about something, and just wanted to make sure I got the right stuff. The rod and spacer fit just fine. The question is, my springs came in a package marked as follows.
For use in: Springfield Armory 1911A1
Light weight compact, .45 ACP
I ordered this for the XD .40 Service.

I ordered 22 and 20lb. springs and they came marked that way, but I don't understand two springs......... I only need one in the XD .40 don't I?

I sent an email to pistolgear just to confirm.

For starters, the small springs you received can be pitched. As for the '1911' markings, it is true that the springs original intent was to be used in 1911s. That said, it so happens that those same springs are compatible with Don's Rod, which is why you received them with your order.

Hope this helps! Thanks for the order.

Scott
