I went to the local gun store in Broadview Hgts ohio today and traded my Beretta 92 for an XD40. I have been wanting one for a while now and when I heard about the increase in the 07 prices, I decided that now may be the time to go pick one up. I am leaving the country for 2 years and didn't want to come back to a 100-200 dollar increase in price.
Anyways, I immediately put 100 rounds through it. I put 50 rds of 165 and 50 rds of 180. It definitely seemed to prefer the 180s, but that may just be my predispostion for heavier loads. It performed flawlessly, just like I suspected. It was great and I really can't wait to put it through it paces. |

I bought them at the gun shop. Stonewall Range and gun store if you are in the cleveland area. I don't recommend it though, I didn't realize that they were 15 bucks for 50 until I checked out. Guess I should of asked first.

My XD40 loves the 180s. I haven't tried a lighter load yet, as the Wal-Mart stores here don't carry anything lighter, or anything but FMJ. Wait, they might carry the TMJ rounds from Remington. Those are pretty nice, too. But as for hollowpoints or EFMJ, Wally World doesn't sell anything like that here. The cheapest rounds I've found at Wal-Mart have been Blazer Brass rounds. They're around $9 for a box of 50. That's about as cheap as it will get unless you use reloads.
You got yourself a nice pistol there, man. I think you'll like using it on a regular basis. |
