XD mods

I just sent my XD out to Springer Precision for the following work;
New TruGlo sights
XD factory clean up
Carry trigger job
smooth/shape trigger face
I spoke with Scott and he will set the trigger to the weight you want.
As for the clean up this is a email I got from Scott

The trigger job reduces the take-up, overtravel and reset. I can also set
the trigger to lighter weights. The "clean up' consists of lapping the
slide to the frame and polishing the important contact points to make the
XD operate smoothly.

I cant wait to get my XD back. I really like the gun now but as it comes form the factory it does need a few tweeks.
Once I get the .45 back my XDSC 9mm will go in for the same mods.

Sweet

Tell us what you think.

I am hoping to get mine back on Friday and take it out to the range for a few hundred rounds on Sat.

I also spoke to Scott last night about the factory cleanup. He said once you put enough rounds through it you end up with the same smoothness. The Clean up just allows the gun to feel broken in without all the use.

For $50 I am going to holf off as I have already spent a ton on shipping.

Plus it gives me an excuse to put 1000 rounds through it.
