OEM is 18, 20 is popular, 22 most common. As far as I know, there's no impact to the warrenty. Tried these, went back to my OEM setup.

This is probably a silly question but what is the difference between the numbers?

Probably also silly, but what does a stronger spring do as far as operation of the gun itself? Wouldn't you have more FTEs that way?

I went to the range for the first time with my DGR w/ #22 spring this weekend. I could tell a slight difference in recoil compared to the #18 spring. I went through about 250 115gr WWB with no problems with FTE's. I think it's mainly preference. You may want to order a couple different spring weights and see what you like.

+1 on that. You'll have to play around witht he different springs to get the feel and reduced recoil you're looking for. I tried a few - but the 18 lb spring seemed the best overall to me. Just MO on that one - others will differ and use heavier springs....

If you are a reloader you also have the option of lighter loads using a lighter spring. Also for the ladies who have problems loading a lighter spring will help that as long as you don't create other problem like Failure to Feed. Still it is a matter of preference but they do look better than the stock springs.
