I took my class yesterday at the gun show in Orlando, FL.
Total joke of a class, the guy talked for about an hour, a written test that you just had to circle "yes" about 10 times, and then we went to a range to fire 6 shots at about 5 yards. I'm happy that the whole process only took 2 hours, but its scary that people can be carrying around a un with this little amount of testing. |

Here's mine from a few months ago here in Minnesota. Shot with my 4" Colt .357 using .38 Special +P's before I got my XD.
Course of fire: From 15 feet: With two hands, aim and fire 5 rounds in 10 seconds. With one hand, aim and fire 5 rounds in 10 seconds. With two hands, aim and fire 5 rounds, reload and fire 5 more rounds in one minute. Same as above at a distance of 25 feet. From 50 feet: With two hands, aim and fire 5 rounds, reload and fire 5 more rounds in one minute. ![]() ![]() I only count 48 holes. Either I threaded the needle (swish) on two shots or, more likely, completely missed the paper (probably...HOPEFULLY at the 50ft distance). 226/250 was my score, which I was pretty happy with considering I had very little handgun experience at that point. 175 or 70% was required to pass. There was no written exam. Last edited by macphisto; 01-08-2007 at 11:31 AM. |

Are you carrying your xd now? You might wanna check your carry laws. In Texas, if you qualify with a wheelgun, then you are only legal to carry one. In other words, no semi-auto.

It comes up blank.
Is anybody else seeing it? Maybe surf control is blocking that site at work. |
