Don't Try This In NY!

Painting a pistol in this manner is now illegal in the Peoples Democratic Republic of New York. ANYTHING that changes the color of the pistol is now illegal. They said this was to prevent someone from taking a real gun and making it look like a toy. Make sense to you? Didn't to me either.....

Thanks, Mr. Spitzer (the new Governer of the overtaxing, over regulating, super corrupt state government.....).

Is that a joke are you serious? Is new York in a competition with Cali to see who can enact the most idiotic gun laws?

I had this idea just a couple days ago (no, really I did!). I didn't think it would be a good idea for the gun I plan to carry, though. If I had to shoot a BG, I might look like some gangsta wannabe, out looking for someone to shoot.

Sure looks sweet though!

I carry my XD45 ACP Tactical, in a SuperTuck from CB. Very comfortable, easy to hide, easy to draw, and easy to reholster.

Looking for an HDR*, either an AR-180B, or Kel-Tec FBR.

HDR, Homeland Defense Rifle

I felt the best part of the article was the Editor Note about the pending rule changes...

Oh, yes - that's the new "law".....no color changes can be made to a pistol or handgun.

The answer to the second question you asked - NY has always been in the lead in "reducing gun violance" by enacting insane laws that only impact those of us who OBAY the law.

Now, for those who choose NOT to obay the law, they have liberal judges who impose "wrist slap" sentences, and DA's who fight to keep these individuals out of federal courts, where the sentences are just too harsh for their delicate souls.....

NY and California are getting pretty close in rules for firearms, so that means one of them is going to come out with a even stupider law really soon.

What's next in NY, can't paint a toy gun because it might look like a real gun???
