Very slight on my 9sc, random and hard to see on the .45 service.

My XD40 does the same thing, although, it's not nearly that noticeable. I had to look very closely.

what case is that . the range were i get my cases from have some of those in there . they all check out ok and i havent seen any bad ones yet so i just reload them . .

And for the primer thingy, my 40 service does the same thing and puts a small dent in the case as well . When I deprime and size the case for reload . the dimple goes away , havent had any problems yet .

Leave it be, anything with the Sig action is going to do that to some extent. Somebody here with a ridiculously high round count will tell you their gun has done it from day one. I have thousands of rounds through my XD-9 and it has always done that, my striker pin is just fine. ALL my semi-auto centerfires do that, if they don't I would expect light primer strikes to start showing up.

My XD 40 SC does the same thing. The firing pin drag doesn't bother me that much. I'm wondering if the marks on the casings will cause any problems reloading, though.

My XD .45 Service does it. Test round from SA has it also.

My XD9 has a bit of primer wipe. It has since day one. I have only had it a couple months. I have put several hundred rounds through it though. It is not nearly as deep as the original photo in this thread has in it . I had a Browning HP that did it a little too. A new firing pin return spring and recoil spring completely cured it. Can't say the same for my old EAA Witness. I thing alot of semi autos do it to one extent or another. I would be a little concerned if it were as deep as the original photo appears to be.

Definately no worry...

Each of my XD's do it, and my Taurus does it as well. It's mostly related to Striker fired handguns, no problem, it will not harm your gun, NOR the firing pin at all...
