XD40 Newbie problems

Hello everyone,
I went to the range yesterday and ran into some issues...my slide did not lock in the open position after going through a magazine. The 1st two worked great but on the 3rd no dice (The problem was intermittent for the rest of my stay).
After putting about 200 rounds into my target every other round would jam-I tired 4 different types of ammo and all had the same problem. I disassembled the gun but did not find anything wrong.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Bill

Is the feed ramp rough? Where is the round catching? On the edge of the feed ramp or in the chamber? If its a matter of rough spots or burrs you might just want to contact SA about it, they seem to be very quick to help with these kinds of issues.
