Just noticed the Springfield link http://www.springfield-armory.com/pr...tl-45gap.shtml and was wondering about ammo costs and the 45 GAP, any idea what ammo runs for this, ballpark local sporting goods pricing? Looks like I need another weapon.

Also, does anyone have data for .45 GAP? how does it compare to .45 auto?

ammo man has FMJ GAP rounds for 165 per 500 or 300 per 1000 shipped.
chepaerthandirt, 270+ ship for speer lawman, $256+ ship for WWB

similar ballistics, smaller bullet which allows use of a smaller frame gun

Wouldn't call it a smaller "bullet" rather a smaller "cartridge", the WWB 45acp is the same grain in size as the 45gap. I'm glad to see manufacturers like Winchester jumping on board already having four choices of GAP ammunition (230gr Whitebox FMJ, 230gr Whitebox JHP, 230gr Winclean, 185gr Silvertips)

Don't forget, online orders for Cheaper than dirt over $150 is free shipping.

For now, look to pay about $75 more per 1,000rds of GAP than ACP. This should change later down the road and hopefully even out with about the same prices.

Not with Georgia arms 357 sig. approx 17.30 per 100 rounds on a 1000 round order
