Convert and range report
I took my NM CCW class today . The class was great taught by an ex-LE now NRA certified. We went to the range to qualify and make sure I can hit the target from 10’ or so. I only made one hole. The instructor had his XD 40 SC and let me shoot it. Someone else was shooting in the next section from us and we all started talking. He was Border Patrol assigned to the training center and was showing his wife how to shoot. He had a G**** and wanted to see the XD well his wife loved it (the g***** had bit her). Then he shot it and when they left the range he was going to the gun store to get a XD45 (we called and they had some). So how long until the Border Patrol switches to XDs?

Sweet. The XD seems to have no trouble making converts.
Why did you only get to make one hole? Was that all that they required? In Colorado there is no qualifying exam but it takes up to 90 days to get your license and it ain't cheap at $152. More and more LE agencies are allowing XDs for carry. I'm not sure about ICE, but hopefully they allow 'em. Durability, reliability, safety, accuracy. What's not to love? |
