photoshop XD help!
ok im not good with these type prgs..ive been playing with the free trial version of photoshop cs2 i and photoshop elements and i can do no better with them than i can ms paint so i could use a help from the photohop gurus
im trying to see what my xd would look like in a few different refinishing schemes..id like to see what id would look like if i did it like the compact xd ive included ..but id like to see it with the SA logo on the slide and lettering done in black like the slide serrations and also the frame in black instead of the green also id lke to see it done in the stainless as well or mirror chrome look my stock od green ![]() thinking of this finish but with the lettering a logo in black like the slide serrations ![]() in case this one is easier to photophop than mine ![]() or this one so i can see the angle look and logo ![]() im gonna try and tinker with it some more but i imagine someone who knows how to do it would be way faster anyway..if anyone wants to try it id apprreciate it ..im not good as picturing stuff in my head and need to see it first hand lol Last edited by shooter71 : 11-23-2006 at 10:15 AM. |

Yeah, I tried what you want to do in PS. I did manage to 'lasso' the slide and create a new layer with it, but when I tried to apply new colors I 'picked' from the Duracoat samples on Lauer Custom Weaponry's site, it looked crappy. I gave up and just got the slide done in Combat Gray.
I imagine that someone with good PS skills could do it. Seems to me there is a post floating around here with just such photos.

Here's a really quick hackjob in PS on one of those pics, similar to what I thought you were describing:
![]() Here's the same pic with the contrast dialed up a bit. ![]() That kind of what you were thinking of? Also, your OD green is a Service model, right? The pics above are of a compact, which is what I happen to have as well. Last edited by Tremek : 11-26-2006 at 10:36 AM. |
