Magazine question
Not sure exactly how to phrase this...
On alot of guns, when you shoot to empty and the slide locks, you can slam another mag in, and the slide will fall, letting you shoot again. A big plus for us Lefties who have difficulty with the slide release. Is the XD supposed to do this? Haven't been able to get mine to do it, so I assume not.

Not overly warn. Just that u have to slam the mag in pretty hard with the gun moving in a down force. the XD won't do this, i have tried countless times but it won't budge. My dads Smith will do it all day long!

My HK states in the manual that this can happen. But I don't think it was specifically designed that way. It's just a side-effect of the slide release mechanism that if the gun is jarred hard enough, it will release.

there was a thread a while back about this and several people could get it to happen but they said you had to really hit it home

the ruger p89 does this with a mild magazine push. That's what I was basing it off of.
