EX_DE-NYN the dealer I had actually tryed to talk me out of buying the HS saying it was a POS. HSAmerica did not have the brand name dealers wanted to sell. In the US we all love our name brands.

Being broke doesn't help
With the money I spent buying parts to convert the two Saiga's I could have gotten a basic .45.....in a few month's I'll pick up a Rock Island or a S/A maybe.

What kind of conversions are you doing on the Saigas? Pistol grips?

How did you get the 30 rounders to work? I got one to fit, but they don't feed ammo.

Yea, pistol grip on both....they don't look right to me with those stocks.

I bought some AK-47 30-rounders online for like $8 each. Went to a buddies place, filed down the catch in the back and filled in the gap on the top with the welder (low low setting) and filed it down to look like the original 10 rounder. Just need to clean and paint them. Here's some pics:

Too bad you can't do that with the 20 gauge.....but I'm working on making a die for 8-rounder mags

edit: some people have JB Welded on a little tab instead of welding. I've heard of those breaking off though.

Just remember to do very low setting as not to melt the mag (take the springs and stuff out first). We (he) actually did it in 2 steps. Half way the first time and then let it cool before filling it up again.
And dont file the tab too much....seems to rattle a bit, but I'm told thats normal.

Good luck...
