.40 cal to 9mm magazine conversion

Sorry for asking what may have been asked a million times, but I only have short periods of time that I can search at work.

Where can I find documentation on modifying .40 cal mags to hold 9mm ammo? I'm planning on buying a 9mm conversion barrel and I'd like to mod a couple of my .40 cal mags. I thought AJames had some info with pics, but I haven't found it. I seem to remember pics that showed how low the 9mm round should sit to prevent lockback on the next to last round. I did a quick search only to find folks saying you should bend the lips in a bit...

Can someone point me in the right direction

before the hack there was a post about it w/ pics and everything. I believe they were talking about pinching the upper retention lips down just about .015". Fwiw, I use my 40 mags unaltered in my 9 all the time.

happen to remember how many rounds of 9mm you can fit into a "hi-cap" .40 cal mag?

My .40 mags work good left alone but sometimes the slide will lock back on the last round.

The 10 round .40 mags will hold 15 so I think that the standard cap mags will hold 17-18, but I have not tried yet.

On this page...

Look in the FAQ thread and I think it tells you what to do.

Thanks CahillXD!!!

The first time I looked at that page...I only saw the "sub mags" part and moved on. It was there all along.
